How to cancel a yahoo travel package? |
Bought a travel package from yahoo travel. Took 16 days to get email confirmation of package. Names miss spelled for air fare, 17 days later Yahoo travel will not correct names for flight, I have spent hours on phone with yahoo call centers with no results. Every one I talk with at Yahoo gives me different answers. I was never informed that trip was not able to cancel when was booked on telephone with yahoo travel. I have requested a in house voucher for travel on alternate date or cancellation of the package and Yahoo travel will do neither. Best advice NEVER use Yahoo travel for travel arrangements Are you cancelling out of frustration with the name changes? Or is this buyer's remorse that you spent the money and now don't want to go? If the first, and your trip is not immediate, I would simply be patient with them. Request the changes, and be as nice as possible when doing it. You can catch a lot more flies with honey, ya know? If the latter, good luck. The thing about on-line travel packages is that very few of them are refundable. And the ones that are have such enormous cancellation fee's, you are better off just going anyway and making the best of it. Their argument to you, I'm sure, is that it does clearly state on their website travel packages are non-refundable. If you booked via phone, one can only assume you visited their website at some point, or you could not have gotten in touch. Regardless, you either take the hit, take the trip, or waste your time and energy fuming over something you can not change. You seemed to completely miss the point - With travel regulations as they are today - The tickets need to be exactly as your photo ID shows - Name spelling etc. 2 tickets with incorrect name spelling are totally worthless. Report It Wow I feel sorry for you but if you paid with a credit card contact your credit card company and explain this and maybe they will help also contact your local District Attnys, office other than that I do not know but next time while planning to travel do not do this go directly to a travel agents office or your Airline Carrier to buy a package hope all works out for you |
