Are you struggling right now just to pay for gasoline and food? |
First of all, if you're going to be rude, or tell me to "get a job", don't bother me. Just don't even respond. Understand? OK... I double dog dare you. Stop COMPLAINING and GROW UP!!! How's that??? im only struggling cause i get paid really bad I fortunately am not struggling, as me and my husband have well paying jobs. I do however, have friends and family that are. The gas prices are outrageous. Also what it costs to heat and cool a home nowadays is insane. I truly feel for your plight. Since you are a student, can't you get some aid someplace? If you cannot, it is a shame. It seems you could. YOU are going to school and trying to better yourself. Good luck to you. I understand what you are going through. I have had a tough time for the past four years. It can be really disheartening sometimes and other times I just get really frustrated. It seems like sometimes you have to decide whether to eat dinner or put gas in the car. I hate it. Is there any type of assistance that you might qualify for like food stamps or energy bill assistance? Yes, I am struggling to keep up with gas and food and I work full time. There are many resources that are available to assist you, if you are interested. If you receive SSI, you are always ahead by working and receiving SSI-if you have a Benefits Planner in your area, please contact them. They can also explain how to work and receive SSDI and how your benefits are affected. The website is listed below. Also, if you are a disabled student, you should qualify for some financial aid assistance or possibly a Pell Grant. Another resource in some states helps pay the phone bill, if you would like a phone. If you have any questions about resources or how to access them, you are welcome to contact me-it is my field of work. My father was blind, I have Deaf friends, and my job is actually to assist persons with disabilities to find and maintain employment. I wish you the best in your endeavors! Hon', we struggle for the everyday things in my house every day. My husband works full time and I work part time and we still have 4 kids at home. Our bills are the same as they were when I had a full time job, so TONS of money goes to bills. PLUS the basic bills are so freakin' HIGH. Yes I am also, but you cheered me up some because now that I look at myself, it could be a lot worse. Thanks disabled person!! I'm struggling too...I'm a single mother of one. But, I work one full time and three part time jobs to get the things I want/need. My 16 year old daughter also works two jobs and still maintains a 4.0 GPA, is in sports and other clubs. I feel very sorry for you. Anyway who makes rude comments or thinks it is funny is a sick human being. Anyway to answer your question as a disabled person myself I don't have to worry about those things because I live with my Mom. I myself am not able to work because the town I live in doesn't supply transportation for the disabled. I am not able to drive which is caused by one of my disabilities I am very thankful to have a wonderful mother who'll do anything for me. Like take me to me appointments. I work full-time and make much more than minimum wage...I live at home so I don't have to pay rent, utilities, etc. yet I still find myself strapped for money constantly! I try to be very careful with my money but I swear, I must spend at least a fifth of my paycheck on gas! Yes I struggle everyday.I have no money for food either. Yesterday for the first time in my life I went to a food pantry and got food for me and my son. I don't have a car and I wish I did, it would help a lot. I'm a single parent and I get no child support because the man is a dead beat man, I can't even say dad he is not that. I got hurt on the job and they have taken me off the work schedule with out pay and without my medical insurance. And this has been since June 2, 2006. I go to school full time and will be done in 3 months but that does not help me today. I understand what you are going through, and I would not judge you. All I have to say is that it might be hard today but it will get better the next day. What ever your community offers in any kind of asst. get it you are not the only one who needs help sometime we all need help. I went to my township and got food to feed me and my son that help me a lot. Just hang in there and don't give up, it might be hard and you may want to give up but don't stay strong and have faith it's hard but it will be Worth it. Being disabled you should be able to get some kind of asst. with the state? Go to the Public Aid office, what about SSI, most of all if you go to school your school should be able to help you. They can be a BIG HELP... Good luck, and we will all make it. You are not the only one! I have two kids and a husband. We have 2 incomes and we are also struggling to pay for food and gas. It stinks-but we are doing what we have to do in order to survive. I work as a cleaner in a public hospital, and everyday is a struggle, just to feed and clothe my 2 kids, Im on a really low wage, and if I miss 1 day of work, im in deep **** with my very very tight budget, so I know exactly what you are talking about, but dont worry about it, you are not the only one, there are thousands like us out there, struggling day-to-day. Me and my family have always been struggling to feed ourselves. |
