Which technological change has had the largest impact on American life?

I am torn between the telephone, television, and computers. Trying to get some intelligent insight to what others think about this subject. Thanks for your answers!

computers has brought the world to everyone's fingertips and to their private homes. the good, the bad and the ugly...all at the push of a button.

television is monitored and limited in various ways...even cable and telephones are just talking.

but the computer has changed our lives and the world. it has brought everything to us and it takes us to everyone (myspace, blogs, etc.) the technology in computers has enabled that technology to be placed on our telephones and change the way we look at television.

Techinically, the definition of techonology is something like an advancement that helps humanity and includes things like controlled fire, the wheel, etc.

SOO...in that scope of things...I vote the wheel. Just think how much it helped humanity when it came to transport of large, heavy objects, and eventually us. Also, early technology such as mills, wheels and pulleys, etc also depended on the idea of a round object that could move.

gas furnaces
indoor toilets
hot water tanks
washing machines

I go for TV, Which i contribute to The high percentage of fat people in America, all they do is sit in front of the tube, eat and do nothing, come on America,You are getting ogly, even among teenagers which should be the pride and beauty of america, its hard to find a person thats in shape, come on america ,do something, Get off your big ***.
