HELP! how do i get a faster internet than dial up?

i have this 31kb dial up and its driving me crazy. i want a wireless highspeed internet like comcast or a dish or dsl, but they are'nt offered on my road as the telephone lines along the road are too old they say. does anybody have any options for me... anything you could offer as an answer would be a huge help!

Maybe go to your dial-up provider's site & see if they have a booster program.
Look thru freedownloads.com & see if you can find one for free. They have all kinds of everything there!

you won't be able to go wireless, if the lines are old, then your neighborhood must not have high speed internet.

There is hughes net which is a satellite dish which emits high speed connection regardless where you are (but costly).

Cable comcast, does not travel by telephone lines, and therefore should be there.

Routers, probably won't make the signal reach that far.

Why dont you go for ADSL Broadband internet for you? it can offer up to 2MBPS speed at cheaper rate..
