What do I do? I love a man that I can never have because of distance?

I met a great guy on a internet site. We started out as telephone, email friends, but now I think he is the one. One problem, he does contract work in Afghanistan and he has no intent of stopping anytime soon. I am young and want kids and stuff. I talk to him about it about all the time, but he seems to shy away from the subject. He says that he wants that too,but he says that he does not want the headache of a long distance relationship. He even asked me to come and work overseas too. We are not dating, but I recently told him that he was the one and I was not taking no for an answer. I know in my heart he is the one, but I know for a fact, that the money is too good to leave it all behind for me or anyone else. While he is on a paper chase, I am on a man hunt. I want to wait for him, but I cannot put my life on hold for a man that has not committed to me. He is home visiting this week and I want to be intimate with him. I know that I will not see him again until March. What to do?

This is a huge statement and I agree. You sound like a girl with a good head on your shoulders so you should date other guys as quickly as u can. I can't tell you how important that is. Don't tell yourself that ur gonna leave this guy, just think of dating as a way of continuing your life!

As they say, put up or shut up. Decide to wait for him and concentrate on other things, hobbies, career, education that you might have to give up later, or take him up on his offer and go there to him. Otherwise notch him up as a good and dear freind, one can never have too many, and move on for mister right.

You no what i dont mean to sound mean but that guy could be lieing to u from who he is and what he does as in the job thing u no ... so ill give u advise go out with someone you could see face to face stay where u at cause trust me i dont think its love so try going out with ppl that live in ur city

Sorry , but your eagerness to be in love is clouding your judgement. If you are doing all the chasing for a relationship, chances are you are chasing the wind... Find someone close to home to love that is real to you... Otherwise you could end up the way you don't want to be...used and alone...

You say he does contract work in Afghanistan? Did he tell you where in Afghanistan? (Last time I checked, we were at war there.) Have you actually met in person yet? If not, are you 100% sure he is home visiting? When he leaves, will he be going back to Afghanistan or another foreign country? How long have you been communicating with him? When you talk to him online, is his sentence structure and spelling atrocious? Does he change the subject quickly when you ask him personal questions about him? Are his answers vague?

I am asking you these questions because you may be dealing with a scammer. From what you have said in your question, I would have to say that I see a red flag.

Please.......I deal with these kind of people everyday. I know how they operate.

My advice......be extremely careful and cautious.
