What is the BEST topic for a college U.S. History research paper that occured between 1865-Present? |
I am looking for very random things, just as a paper on "Morton Salt Company" and other things. The professor thought the idea of Morton Salt Company was a GREAT idea. I was thinking the Invention of the telephone or lightbulb, the founding of the Hull House, assassination of Abraham Lincoln, or something like that. Anything that occured between 1865 and 2007 would be awesome. Please do not get TOO broad. We cannot write a 10 page report on "Civil War" or "WW2" or "Reconstruction" and stuff like that. I want very specific, yet random at the same time. I want to hear things like, "Thats such a cool topic!" or its equivalent. Something that not that many people thing about, but everybody knows of. Something that would make my colleagues think "Why didn't I think of that!", like the Morton Salt Company. I hope you find a good topic! The best and most interesting, random yet specific topic gets Best Answer. Good luck! how they invented bubble gum or how they made sharpies Try the economic impact of Fisk and Gould, the guys that tried to corner the gold market. Well, actually I don't know of many people who know about that. Hmm... Maybe try to write about the copyrights broken by Bill Gates? I think he stole some things from Apple ages ago... maybe not... oh well How about the life and times of the hippies? Here's a link to a lot of resources to get you started! |
