Ms. Rachie Brian, Plaza Hotel, Ottawa?? Big Scam...... they are getting personal details? whts solution?

I my self send them scanned copy of my passport.. lolz.. cuz the application form and the emails they are sending sound too real specially for the staff of 5 star Hotels.. like me that offer was so real...... I disclosed my information to them... any way thank God i didn't go further,, because there is no website........... and its already very busy issue on yahoo answers.... thanks every body who provide info abt that spam..... so every body be carefull this is just a spam....... because no logo no telephone number nuffin is there on their forms.... and disclosing your passport like that is really dangerous..?? and please friends also suggest me what abt the persons who already disclosed their personal info's to them.??????????????

You have already given them way too much information. With your passport info, they have your present address and your passport number. They are on their way to becoming you. Imagine some guy goes to the Canadian consulate in Nigeria or Singapore and says I lost my wallet and my passport but fortunately I wrote the details down on a piece of paper. They are issued new papers, apply for a replacement credit card, and run up a nice little bill before you can say "I want to be suckered"...

Make sure to notify your bank (in person) of a possible exposure to fraud and that you do not want them to alter any address information or issue any new cards unless you are present at the bank with special proof of your identity (NOT a passport!)
