How come my internet always disconect when my home phone rings? |
A few months ago, my dad replaced our old phone with this 5.8 GHz wireless telephone, and ever since then, every incoming call, outgoing call, and even when it leaves a message, it temporarily disconnects my internet. We have DSL, it was put in like long years ago. Does anyone know what is happens when the phone is answered or how to fix it? And dont say i shouldn't happen at all because it doesnt happen to you guys, it happens to me and it drives me crazy, especially if im played ranked online matches on warcraft. Also, does it have anything to do with the phone line? your DSL company should provide something called filters to attach your phone to the wall, put those first, then attach your phone to it. It works better if you hook your DSL modem up to the wall directly as opposed to the filter. If it continues, call your DSL company. For the record, Guild Wars is tons better than WoW. regular dial up used to do it, so on the number it calls for dsl, there is a code like *77 or something, you put in front of the number. im not sure what the actual code is, but it will stop it.
