Remembering September 11th?

Everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing on the morning of September 11, 2001. My morning began at 7:09 AM with the phone ringing 鈥?I don鈥檛 do mornings, so I let it go to the machine. When the ringing restarted 30 seconds later I knew something was wrong. 鈥淭urn on your TV right now!鈥?shouted my friend Dawn, who was then living in Helsinki. We talked for 20 minutes until the first tower fell, then she told me she loved me, and that she had to call her mom.

Across the world millions of people were talking on the telephone, by the water cooler, and most often, in front of a television. I called my parents, and then tracked down my friend Jennifer, who commuted into Manhattan daily 鈥?the phones were out, but email assured me she was safe.

As a nation we all watched the tragedy unfold, and then held our collective breath waiting for answers. We may never know the truth, but after five years, I鈥檓 amazed by how many conspiracy theories still abound, even after the ex

I still cant forget that day when i lost my only precious thing in the life

conspiracy theorists are true terrorists

i remember what i was doing to i was in school when i found out what was happening and think about all that everybody lost and wish everybody luck my heart goes out to all

GOOD LUCK OUT THERE

I would never have thought that we would have seen such a horrific event in our lifetime. I think it's important we all remember every year as long as we are alive and pray that such a thing doesn't happen again. But we also need to remember all the other tragedies like Katrina, the Tsunami and countless others that have happened since and will continue to happen - each life lost is precious.

Ed Gherity dropped his son Collin off for his first day of kindergarden and then went off to work. He was a New York City Fireman. RIP

I herd a person this morning tell the DJ's that we deserve what happened to us. I'd like that person to tell all the people that lost someone , and all the children that there Mothers, fathers, wife's, husbands, and friends that they got what then deserved and see how fast she gets her @ss kicked. I couldn't believe that someone would say such a thing.

I can remember sitting in my cubicle at work, when they told us about the 4th plane. I heard people sobbing around me and all I could do was put my head in my hands and cry. I was really confused as to why people hate us so much.

Is it cause we have the right to say what we feel and want? Is it because we want the rest of the world to experience the same and not live in the middle ages?

I knew immediately after the 2nd plane hit the towers it was terrorist and I must've said it outloud cause someone said why do you say that. I remember saying, An American wouldn't do that in such a way. I remember watching some of my co workers eyes blurry with tears and puffy from crying trying to reach their loved ones in New york.

My husband and I have a friend whos ex wife was a flight attendant with American airlines and she lived in NYC. I begged hubby to call him and to see if he had word on her, she was safe but not several of her co workers.

All I know is that even with this countries faults and issues, we still have it made. There is to much fighting between parties, we need solidarity

i was walking into the elementary school. when the first plane hit. i wasnt informed of what happened what happened until 12:00. the twin towers were a member of my family. i wrote a letter to president bush and i remember watching the news all day long. when my dad came home i yelled at him. i said you promised, you promised that we'd go up there one day. he said no one ever plans that something like that would happen. also through my mind was remembering the last time i saw them from the bridge on my way home. i should mention that pre-9/11 i went to new york city at least 2 times a month. and well as i was saying the last time i saw them i will never forget. i looked out the window of the car and saw that new york city was engulfed with a rainbow fog. the only thing i could see was the world trade center sticking out over the fog. i am a twin and to me and my sister those towers represented us. i was the north tower because i am taller and she was the south tower because she was shorter. i will never forget that day. or anything by it.

bless all who have good thoughts for the family members and friends that were lost that day.
