Movie atonement?

there are a few things i am confused about.
i am in LOVE with this movie, seen it a million times. james mcavoy is soo sexy in this film. but im still a little confused.
please answer any of these questions. thanks so much!! <3



ok:

-why is there blood on cecelia's napkin at dinner in the beginning of the film? why is that in the film??

-what is cecelia talking about when they are walking around at the beginning and she's like "the old man telephoned last night, said your planning on being a doctor..." what is that conversation even about??

-did paul marshall give lola the chinese burns?

-why does cecelia get mad when her and robbie are walking outside in the beginning of the film when he is like "i said i'd pay your father back!" why does cecelia get somewhat angry??

- I think the blood on Cecilia's napkin is from her passionate moment with Robbie. He probably got a little heated and bit her lip.

- The "old man" is Cecilia's father. He offers to pay for Robbie to become a doctor. Cecilia is just bringing it up then to discuss it with Robbie.

- Yes, it was Paul Marshall. I don't think they were actual chinese burns though, that would just be her story of what the twins did. Paul Marshall probably just inflicted the marks by grabbing or pulling at her arms.

- At this point in the movie / book, Cecilia doesn't realise that she is in love with Robbie. She can't explain her own actions and the way that she treats Robbie. It turns out that her manner is simply because she is trying to deal with the fact that she is in love with Robbie and she doesn't want him to go away to become a doctor (obviously because he won't be able to be with her).
