Is this included in my package?

for my home telephone i have an unlimited long distance minutes plan for a set price. now if i call a cell phone in germany does that count towards my unlimited long distance? if it is not included in that package, about how much would it cost? i no to call a home phone its around 10 cents abut what for a cell phone? also r there any connection fees? my carrier is verizon if that helps any. if u dont no the answer plz dont respond saying to call them i posted this in hopes of not sitting on hold all afternoon. thanks! (i dunno if it matters but im in Pennsylvania)

this question has nothing to do w/ MY cell phone. it is my house phone through verizon and the phone in germany is a cell thru tmobile

I am pretty sure it would not be included in your home telephone package if you called Germany. It's probably a nationwide long distance thing and may possibly include Puerto Rico, but not Germany.

As for your cell phone, I am certain that does NOT count toward your unlimited long distance. (I have Verizon too).

Sorry to say this, but if you want details on costs for your phone and cell phone calls to Germany, you really do have to call your carriers and get the details, because it varies by company, by area, and by your specific plan/agreement.

Side note: If you're going to be calling Germany, I recommend you pick up an international phone card at Target. I got one and they are pretty reasonably priced. It's an 800 or 888 number, so you can use it from home or from your cell phone (cell phone would use airtime, but that's it-- no international calls charges)! Plus it is all prepaid so you can keep track of your costs...AND you can recharge it using your credit card over the phone. No, I don't work for them, I'm just a big fan of my calling card:P

I have an unlimited long distance plan, too, but it doesn't cover calls out of the country. If your long distance plan includes over seas calls, then it shouldn't cost you anything else other than your monthly unlimited fee.

I never use the long distance service offered by the phone company. Unless you make a huge number of calls in the US it is not worth it. Get a prepaid card. The cheapest is at Costco and is less than 3 cents a minute for calls in the US. It is higher for international calls but I can almost guarantee that it will be much less then what the phone company offers.

The card comes with a list of charges for most countries AND THAT INCLUDES ALL TAXES.
