Am i abnormal or just "late maturing?"?

well im a bit embarrassed to say this over the internet but....
i am 15 years of age and i have realised most of the people my age have gone through or are going through puberty and i havent even started. they allhave low voices and i sound like a girl on a mic. / telephone. it is so annoying what is wrong with me it has been bugging me for a while now. please no silly answers if you have nothing good to say dont say it.
Please help thanks.

no hair anywhere at all but i have just notice hairs a bit on my legs and tiny tiny pubes? i am still worried but i will ssee my doctor soon hopefully. no1 else in my family was late although my brother keeps saying he started at 16. so i guess ima have to wait till then.

well... i do have the same problem... it is in your hormones... i'm a late bloomer too... i'm 18 but then i sound like a girl... i hate it... but then we should wait for the right time. just carry yourself with confidence and go on with life. be optimistic! hope this helps...!

i am serious Report It

some people develop later than others so i dont think you should worry.

just a little late -dont rush to get old it will come quick

Don't worry son, all in good time. There's nothing wrong with you. It'll happen. Good Luck

any time up to 18 is `normal`
get your doctor to check you out if you are worried

I know it bothers for now but dont worry you will mature really soon.

My brothers were like that and one day they grew so high and matured so fast that we didnt even realize it.

Start changing your voice on your own. Try to practice to speak with a strong tone until your voice changes which will be soon. Believe me.

There is nothing wrong, I promise. Puberty happens at different times for people, I started puberty early - and that was embaressing for me, I knew someone in my class who didn't start going through puberty until she was 16.

Puberty occurs for everyone at different ages, don't be too worried by it, however embarrassing you might feel it is. Its something that young people don't talk about unless they are boasting, and I guess you don't feel like doing that.

Theres not much that can be done just yet as you are within the normal limits of age, but if in a few years it still hasn't made an appearance then see your doctor. But don't worry, your not missing out!

Go and dig five postholes in the ground over a period of two weeks

use a crow bar and a long handle shovel and dig them 2 feet deep and not to wide.

I am not kidding
two weeks = problem solved

hey,the voice changes mostly by the age of 15 or to some it may be delayed .and some of them have this voice forever .any one of ur family member have the same problem ..and what about the other puberty changes are they ok?

Talk to your doctor . You may very well be lacking some hormones or something else. The worst he will say is wait till your 18 then talk to me. I remember talking to people and in about 8th and 9th grade is when people were getting deeper voices. I am 20 and i cannot grow facial hair . I not trying to be creapy, but do you ahve underarm hair , or pubes? that hit me first.

1st off I gather you are asking on here because you can't talk to your parents? By now most boys have started puberty, I have a 15 year old and he definitely has.
The best thing for you to do sweety is go to your doctor, and tell him (you might feel better talking to another male). He might be able to help you.
All kids are different.
But I do advice you to go to the doctors, he can tell you more, and reassure you, he will also be able to tell you if something is wrong or you are just a slow developer.
Go to doctors. OK?
Good luck

You are perfectly normal.
The age at which puberty begins can vary widely between individuals and between populations. Age of puberty is affected by both genetic factors and by environmental factors such as nutrition and social circumstances. Timing may also be affected by environmental factors (exogenous hormones and environmental substances with hormone-like effects) and there is even evidence that life experiences may play a role as well.

Ethnic/racial differences have been recognized for centuries.

The duration of puberty generally varies approximately 6 years for boys (from first physical changes to attainment of adult height).

For North American, Indo-Iranian (India, Iran) and European boys

* Testicular enlargement 11.5y (9.5鈥?3.5y)
* Pubic hair 12y (10鈥?4y)
* Growth spurt 12.5鈥?5y
* Completion of growth 17.5

Obviously anyone who is later than average is late in the ordinary sense. There are three indications that pubertal delay may be due to an abnormal cause. The first is simply degree of lateness: a delay of 2-3 years or more warrants evaluation.
In boys, no testicular enlargement by 14 years warrants investigation.

If a child is healthy but simply late, reassurance and prediction based on the bone age can be provided. No other intervention is usually necessary. In more extreme cases of delay, or cases where the delay is more extremely distressing to the child, a low dose of testosterone or estrogen for a few months may bring the first reassuring changes of normal puberty.

If the delay is due to systemic disease or undernutrition, the therapeutic intervention is likely to focus mainly on those conditions.

If it becomes clear that there is a permanent defect of the reproductive system, treatment usually involves replacement of the appropriate hormones (testosterone for boys, estradiol and progesterone for girls).

You say you haven't started puberty yet , but voice breaking and hair development can be in the final stages
So has your penis started developing , and can you become erect and reach orgasm ?? If the answer to these is also no then you must consult a GP as soon as possible . You will be put on some medication to boost testosterone and this will help your development . If you leave it too late it becomes a bit more difficult
Good Luck

I'm a girl but was a late developer, I didn't even need a bra at 16 and now I'm a DD cup! You have years of shaving to look forward to, enjoy not having to while you can.

itll grow
someone told me that if you are prematurely born then the chance that you will start late increase
