How do i answer the telephone?

ok i have a new job. i really need to impress the boss without making myself seem like an *** liker. how can i impress the boss ??. and ive had an issue for a long time.. my name ends with 'sss' i.e. janice, brice, joyce etc is there another way i can answer the phone besides i.e "good morning green towers joyce speaking " the sss sound cuts off my name and people never get my mane right i.e JOYCE = JOE

Impress your boss by doing a good job - follow through on assignments, if you asked to do something do it right away and if you have questions be sure to ask. Better to ask a question and do it right than don't ask and do it wrong. If someone is explaining to you how to do something, be sure to take notes so you don't have to ask next time.

I have always been told to stay away from the Good morning, Good afternoon greeting since you don't know what time zone your customer is calling from.

(I think this is very professional and to the point, your job is to answer the phone and xfer the call. The most important thing to remember is the tone of your voice. People do pick up on that.)
Most people don't want to talk to you..they don't want to hear a 30second introduction, i.e Thank you for calling Green Towers, this is Joyce = that is just too long. The caller, most likely, knows where they are calling and who they want to talk to.

the correct way of answering the phone is good morning green towers, how may i assist you, forget about your name
unless the boss wants you to give it , if you must use it try shortening it to Joy instead of Joyce just for work

i do not like saying my name over the phone neither,a nd i think big long 30 second answer is silly. so i just say.
