I feel really dumb- what do you call the cable that connectes to a laptop to a normal telephone jack? I feel stupid but I just can't think of it. I know I will proberly get nasty answers so please don't! Best, quickest and most helpfull answer gets the 10 points. Thanks The cable is called telephone cable and the connector (jack) is called RJ-11 Uhh, theres different kids.. Look in the port, there should be two, if one is wider, and inside it has 8 prongs, then its the ethernet port, and it needs an ethernet cable. If its got 2 prongs, then its a modem and needs a telephone cable. Dont feel stupid by the way, most people know jack about computers. Hell, i dont even know if im right. im just guessing. Telephone Jack RJ11 It is RJ 11 jack, that you push into the laptop slot. oh come on guys |
