Back when telephones were first used, what did people say when they answered the phone? |
Can you remember if your Grandparents answered the phone without a Hello. Mister Ed !!! Is that you !!!! :-) Back when I was a little girl at my grandparent's farm the telephone hung on the wall. Each family had different rings (sounds) when their phone rang.......ours was two longs and a short ring. People were cautious about what they said on the phone because there were usually three or four families on the same line and everybody "eavesdropped" in I'll answer the first question. |
