Xbox live with a wireless router how do i?????

i have an xbox 360 and i want xbox live however my 360 is downstairs but my pc is upstairs (along with my internet) so how would i get xbox live with a wirless router?????

1. is there a special card i need?

2. if there is how much does it cost?

3. how much would a basic wireless router cost?

4. (bonus question if you answer this one well you will automaticly get best answer) could i possible use a spare modem i have and plug it into my downstars telephone line then hook it up to my 360 and get the internet without havin to mess with my modem upstairs????

2. $100 for a real good one. That's what I found.

3. Depends what you mean by "basic" A 1x router goes a short distance, for that distance I'd get a 5x just to be safe. I'm not sure how much but our 10x was $80.

4. If you have dial up.. Not sure with cable or DSL though.. Sorry.

First of all, keep in mind that you have to have a broadband connection to get Xbox Live. (so your phone line won't help).
You can get a good router for around $30 (a Belkin wireless G will work fine) If you do decide to go with a router, you will need the Xbox 360 wireless network adapter for your console. (That goes for about $100) "Ahh, gotta love Micro$oft."

buy a long cable. and make a wire connection (if you can) have had the wireless and i found it unreliable. As for the wireless you need to get the wireless adapter (walmart bestbuy or any gamer store will have it) just ask for the xbox 360 wireless adapter and you can connect to your router it cost about $100
