Mobile internet, kilobytes and megabytes use with internet radio.? |
I would like to know what happens when I use Internet radio or BBC Radio on line via for example, the T-Mobile network which allows a maximum of 10 gigabytes per month in their fair useage policy. I know 10 gigabytes is quite a lot but I don't know what useage this relates to when you listen live to streamed radio. This is all so that I can listen to BBC Radio and Internet radio on my laptop whilst having no acess to a telephone landline. I worry that whilst listening all day to the BBC I will find I have used all the 10 gigabytes in the first day!! Hope you all understand my question and someone can answer it definatively. Thanks. well i play online games and so does my brother, we also watch videos from 4OD (4 on demand) and we use about 6GB a month so im guessing your fine. Before you can see the online video or radio, the buffer in your PC will download the information needed. So that's why sometimes you will experience lagging if your buffer too small or downloading too slow. I think this is what they mean Assuming a 128kbit/s feed and 25% overhead - this is slightly conservative |
