Convincing parents to let me get a puppy? |
My friend Jennifer's dog just had puppies and I would really like one of them. They are free and my parents have become closer to letting me get one. But the thing is my mom says ask your dad and my dad says ask your mom. What do i do to make one of them say yes? I hate them constantly not answering me its really pis sing me off.god I hate it when theyd o this and now mom is saying since dad wont answer its a no but i just talked to her on the telephone and she said as of right now its a no. any ideas on what to do? Well the best thing is to get a time when they are BOTH together and bring it up. Say you want a dog and that you understand that it is a big resposiblity but your ready for it. You promise to take care of it and stuff. They should respond to your upfront and mature way of asking and at "least" say they will think it over! GOOD LUCK Get them both together for a "family meeting" or something and talk about it. Figure out why they won't let you have a dog. Show responsibility and most of all show them why you should have a puppy, show them that you are ready. |
