Ds 230 and ds 156 for paperwork for us consulate?

My (German) fiance received his packet of papers for the consulate over a month ago. We have tried asking the consulate for some answer to no avail. Now we are hoping someone here can answer us. First on the form DS 156 question 14 it asks for a national identification number that is asking for his german social security number correct? next, he never received part 2 of form 230. is this standard procedure? I'm assuming he'll receive it when he goes to his interview is that correct? lastly, two of his schools have changed locations. we have been unable to locate a current address or telephone number. what should we do now?
thnx so much any info u can give is greatly appreciated.

Yes, that is his national identification number. (every country calls it something different) You were meant to send in part II with the application. You are not meant to sign it though. You do that part at the interview. But this should not have stalled your application. I would give it another few weeks and then call the embassy to follow up on the case. It can take more than a month for them to get to the interview. Don't worry about the schools changing addresses, this will only become useful information if they need to investigate your husband further for crimes etc.

You are correct to write the person's German social security number on Form DS-156.

He should have received Form DS-230 Part II, this form needs to be completed (but not signed) and taken to the Embassy at the time of his visa interview. He will sign Part II of Form DS-230 in front of the consular officer.

However if he as not received Form DS-230 Part II then he may download the Form from the website below.

Regarding the change of addresses with the schools, if you can't find the new address or a contact number for them, then I wouldn't worry about it. If asked (which is unlikely) then he will just have to simply explain that they have moved and that he couldn't find out their new location - he won't present a big problem for them.
