Annoying phone calls?

Now I remember why I don't like home telephone numbers. It's becuz of the annoying calls you get from people calling you to sell you something. All day long since I woke up I have to stop and answer the dam phone with this one and that one trying to sell me "dish network" I don't want "dish network" I have cable and I'm find with it. They want to sell me something when they can't even get my last name right, I'm tried of being nice, now I'm going to down right rude.Beware of the next person who calls me to sell me something I don't need or want. Anybody else have this problem what have you done to stop it?

First, I put my number on the no call list.
Second, never answer with "Hello". So many calls are computer generated that when more than one word is used, it's programed to disconnect (thinks it's a business).
Third, ask how they got your number and please remove it from their lists.
Fourth, (last resort and not very nice) ask for their name and number, then state it's against your constitutional right to privacy and if they continue to call you will sue.

It so happens that the address in the phone book is not quite the same as our actual address. We are therefore listed as living in a non-existent "Court" instead of the "Avenue" where our house is situated. When these people phone me and tell me that a number of people in our "Court" have bought whatever it is, I can quite legitimately tell them that they are lying and hang up on them.
