.....whilst enjoying my evening beverage if front of the fireside.......my telephone rings to annnoying urgency............who could it be at this time of the evening.......... so i now hurriedly answer the phone.................to my amazement the chatter of dozens other telecanvassers in the background......when a chirpy and chipper sort of young fellow pipes up.....................are you(Name and adress)?..........to which i say yes........he then says I'm from a certain company and we are offering a great deal on "Stairlifts"...............would i be interested?.................i say no...i'm (at certain age, not over 40 yet)...........but he's persistent........."well what about one for your parents?"....."we've got great offer going".......we even offer free installation..........i put the phone back on the reciever....hehehe......

i always say hang on ...just let me get the goat and this child back on the alter....and im all urs...!! strangely .... they are gone wen i return .....!

Oh that's not nearly as nice as the junk mail I got the other day telling me that I had won $67,000 and was accompanied by my first check of $2,500. All I had to do was call and activate it. Oh, yeah, and probably give them my ss # and bank account # so that they could make a deposit. Do you think I should call?

They get paid by the hour aswell as commission so at least he's getting paid to annoy you. I used to work in a call centre and there's very little you could say that would sound original. Next time hang up sooner, it will take up less of your time. Also the person making the call may respect you more. Not that it matters!
