I need help !!! I found my Biological Father...? |
I have a telephone number and an address. Actually it's all in his wife's name but she still has his last name so I'm pretty sure they're still married. Anyway, at first I was just trying 2 get my back child support but now that I have all this info on him it's getting a bit more personal. What should I do? I called and his wife answered the phone. I know it was her. My sister and I used to spend time with her when it was our time to be with him. This all ended very quickly. I chickened out and told her I had the wrong number. Should I call and tell them who I am or should I write a letter or say anything? I mean after all he hasn't seen me since I was 3-5 years old. I'm 23 now. If he wanted to know me or my sister he would have tried to find us right? His brother and sisters have tried and my sister keeps in contact with them but not with him. If he doesn't care, should I? Should I stick with trying to get back child support. I also found out he owns his home business si he has money. Do you want to have a relationship with him? Then you should call him. Maybe it won't go well, but you can't know unless you try. If you can establish a relationship with him, then you can ask him about the child support. If he won't talk to you, then you will have to take him to court to get your money. So I guess you'll have to decide how badly you want it. It's your money and he definitely owes it to you. He is the one at fault here, for not being there for you when you were growing up and for not taking responsibility for your welfare. There are 2 things here #1. The grass may not be greener and you might want to leave this alone, and then #2. Maybe he thought that he was doing you a favor by not getting in contact with you because you were so young. CAll and talk to them. Whats the worst that they could say? Either way, you will know. Oh do you live near him if you do I would just go to the house what if they hang up on yo and they might not read the letter try to call again and don't chicken out. Maybe your father has been busy with other stuff and he has tried to find you but he gave up. |
