How long did you have to wait to receive your triple screen results?

Hi all! I took the dreaded triple screen test (prenatal test for Downs Syndrome, spina bifida, neural tube defects, etc.), and was informed it took (2) days to receive test results....its been (5). I called the office yesterday, left voice mail for nurse, and today, expressing my anxiety, the receptionist said she would let the nurse know again, but spoke with her already and said I'd have to wait til next appointment....a month away!

Am I being too persistent in wanting to know my test results?
Please share your experience...

I got my results in a week, because I tested postitive for downs so I had to get futher testing. I believe if the find something wrong they will call if not then they won't worry about it and just inform you at your next appointment

I know that at the office I go to they only call if there are unusual test results. If everything is fine then they won't call.
I know that they called me after 4 days, but I had a high chance (1 in 50) of my little one having Down's and they wanted me to terminate the pregnancy before it was too late.
I would give them until next week, I know it's hard, but keep in mind that generally if there is nothing to worry about then they won't call.

With my last pregnancy my those test results came back with a high probablity for Downs..So my Dr. sent my to the Mayo Clinic for a high tech ultrasound and an amnio if needed...

Turns out my baby didn't have it, but I had other bad news while I was there...and it still scared the crap out of me! From that moment on I have hated that test...Now I go up to the Mayo Clinic and have the early one (that you can take in the 1st trimester) done..I feel much better

I was told that it would take a little over a week to get the test results back. I would give them until monday afternoon and call again. There is no reason you should have to wait for your next appointment.
