Which school should I choose?

I've just left my job for a major career change. I'm going from an office job to teaching, and have to go back to school for one more year before I can teach.

I have two schools I can go to and can't choose between them. They're both the same program, but one school has an extra component that opens me up to more jobs when I graduate.

It seems obvious that I would choose that school. The problem is, that school costs double what the other one does ($10,000 vs $5,000). My question is, is it worth it to spend the extra money in order to have more opportunities down the road? I really want this school, but the extra money is making me feel a bit wary.

I would love to hear any advice or experiences you guys can share. This is a big decision. Thank you!

I'm having a similar situation I am looking at schools that cost more. I think if it opens opportunities then it may be worth it. I'm scared to spend alot of money, but I've spent the past few years working low paying jobs. If I can go to a school that will give me better opportunities, I'm open to it. Good luck!

If that extra component will likely result in a better paying job that you'd also enjoy more, then an extra $5000 seems well worth it. (However, if it had been $100,000 vs. $50,000, then I'd have said that it's not worth it.)

it doesn't really matter.. coz if you really work hard, i mean, study hard, then you'll have just as ample opportunities once you've proven that you're good enough..
