I want to invest My money But i dont know where to start?

i have 2,000 to go with and i would like to invest it in something. I have no idea how to buy stock or shares...Everything is French to me I have a charles Schwab office across from my job but is like i HAVE NO IDEA where to start so i want to go in with some type of knowledge HELP!

Before you open any account and start investing, you should go to the library or book store. There you can get books written from Peter Lynch or warren buffet. Once you read these books start thinking of what company might be good for you to invest. figure out what type of investor you are first, Like long term, short term or swing trader. Once you gain some reasonable knowledge then you are ready to start investing in stock.. Don't rush into investing, educate yourself first then you'll be ready. Because, the stock maI hi will always be there, but are you ready for the stock market?

I hope this helps. I would hate for people who don't know anything about the stock market and get into invest, then like months down the line they lose money....

I invested in gold and right now even though I havent sold the gold yet I made about $3000 but right now the goldprice is bad for people that want to invest now
