Is there any way to really deal with a ignorant control freak of a boss? I hate to lose my job, but...?

I work in an office my boss is on major pain pills and has been for the last 3 years I've worked there. She refuses to train me on new things, leaving me with much time to sit and think. I ask for more work she promises to train me but then never has time. She is always telling me to do things or sharing some "new" work then later accuses me of not asking her before I do things and doing her job or even making up accounting codes!! (yeah right) Then I prove after she has accused me and made a scene that it was her who told me too and she just forgot and it is shoved under the rug no apology no nothing. If I do something and I admit it and apologize she still says that I need to take more time to remember things, it's all my fault. She has even admitted giving me "extra" pointless work just spite me cause she was angry with me!! She complains to my plant manager and has had me written up twice now for confronting her on this behavior. My pay is salary my benefits free, but my sanity?!

You should find ways to collect evidence of her misconduct and file a formal complaint and then quit.

Also, if you get written up for raising concerns about how you are treated at work, I think that's called retaliation and there are are law against that. You could take legal action if you wanted to take it that far.

Having said all this, the easiest thing to do is to get a new job and move on. You have 3 years of experience; it should not take long for you to find a similar job.

Life is TOO SHORT to work a job you hate! In this case, the grass HAS to be greener on the other side of the fence.
Step out and get a new job or go back to school to improve your skills. You won't regret it in the long run.

well... are you being forced to work there? sounds like it is time to seek a new job. There are plenty out there for those that actually do desire to work and do extra, not the minimal amount to 'get by and not be fired'

Just strait up talk to her when she has crossed the line 4 u! Tell her what she is doing and tell her that u don't wanna lose your job. I'm sure it'll work out
