Leave the fan on in the bathroom, right?

My office shares a bathroom with 2 other offices in our building and it seems none of the women in the other offices know to leave the fan on in the bathroom after going #2!??! Would it be rude to make a sign and tape it up in there asking them to leave the fan on when they do their business? Also, some women dont wash their hands which totally grosses me out and I was thinking of including that in the sign as well.

No, that's not rude at all, it's common sense (well you'd THINK it was common sense). Depending on the environment, you could make a joke out of it on a sign.

"After punishing the toilet, please avoid punishing the next visitor to the bathroom by leaving the fan on."

And then sign it "the management" or something silly like that.

Alternately, you could just tape the light switch or fan switch to be always on. If someone doesn't get the hint, then I guess a sign is needed.

You could also get one of those signs that says "Employees must hands before returning to work". You wouldn't believe what people do if you just post a sign somewhere, even if it isn't your responsibility to do it. Some people just need more guidance than others.

No it is deffinatley not rude, what is rude is the fact that they don't turn on the fan and stink up the room. Also if they aren't washing their hands then the sign is for hygeine (sp). Report It

Yes.

Make the sign.
Also write on it that camera's have been installed to check if they wipe their bottoms properly.
