I sued my ex- boyfriend for assault and won. He refuses to pay me the money.? |
Almost a year ago my ex boyfriend assaulted me and was court ordered to vacate our apartment. I got a protective order against him and I also sued him for medical damages and non payment for his share of the rent. I won and I'm satisfied with the judgement. He's bitter and refuses to pay the money owed to me. He sent me message via a mutual friend of ours saying that "He's not gonna give me his money" but that he'll send it to the rental office instead. It's been 3 months now since the judgement and he has yet to make any payments to "the rental office" so I took action with a garnishment of his wages. The nerve of him refusing to pay me "my" money that the judge granted me for his anal actions. I gave him an ample amount of time to pay on his own. But he's bitter and anal so what do I care. What I want to know is how soon will a wage garnishment payments start? I just filed it 3 days ago. Probably within the next couple of months. |
