Branch Davidian fire in Waco?

It's the 15 year aniversary of the 51 day standoff and it made me think about an obvious question.

Anyone know why the Texas State Fire Marshal's Office was not involved in the Mt. Carmel fire investigation?

I've read that the DPS Texas Rangers and FBI were the lead agencies....... But it would seem that the SFMO would have the expertise in fire investigation, at least over the TX Rangers since they don't do these types of investigations. Not to mention that it would be SFMO's jurisdiction since it was not in the city of Waco. I know that they have very good fire and arson investigators that travel all over the state so why were they not involved?

I've never seen this question brought up anywhere with regards to this case and I really can't find an appropriate forum to discuss this.......
If anyone knows where a disscussion on this topic is please feel free to enlighten me. Or, if you think you know why please share your thoughts.

Thanks!

It was a cover up,that's why!
Those poor people/women and innocent lil children from Waco were simply
MURDERED
for their beliefs.
They were NOT hurting anyone, except the twisted minds of the ones who killed them.
Texas coppers are known for their cruelty,so if all the other copper agencies were there,
there's your psychotic
mentality.

Simple, it was an ATF incident. The ATF are experts in arson and explosives investigations, the did the investigation into it. FBI may have been the lead" agency but others did help...

You just answered your own question. The FBI tried to let the ATF take all the blame. A local agency would have never been let anyone near that investigation to show the actual extent of FBI involvement in the actual fire.

I don't know the answer to your question.
But a look into the incident at Ruby Ridge may fuel the flames...
sometimes protocol flies out the window.
