Do i change my docter?

hi everybody....now i am 12 weeks pregnant and i am going to a docter name moore .(nobody specially suggested me that docter)..once i went for pap test before pregnancy then i liked her as she spokes very politly ..thats all....
but now whenever i call nurse for simple complaints she asks docter and tell me medications...which i dont like....my frnd saying that her docter never gives her other medications...
and one more thing my docter office will close at 5 pm and my docter will give appointment only before 3 pm...but my frnd gets appointment even at 5.pm.....and my docter is young and she married 2 years back and she had a baby recently...so she may dont have experience....i am confused...plzz help me...shall i change docter or am i thinking stupidly!!!

well first off, you must consider whether your problems are really serious or if you just panic out of something normal like vomitting ? Doctors are ALWAYS busy and simple questins like these take up their time, which ususally gets them annoyed. There are some pills that are ok to take during pregnancy too. I dont think your appt time should matter. If she's had a baby, then she now has PERSONAL experience as well as educational experience.
If you just dont like her, then just change doctors, that way both you and your baby can be happy.

My doctor never suggested any meds, even when I had a sinus infection, he asked if could handle it and said no meds. I had appts at like 4:30 sometimes. He is reachable by a special number if something happens to come up.

I think that you need to be comfortable with your doctor and their procedures. If you are not completely satisfied you should definitely change doctors. You're only 12 weeks so you have a while to go and this is kind of a big thing so try to be completely comfortable!

Ok... as far as finding another doctor, I believed you answered your own question - you obviously do not feel comfortable with your doctor and question the experience level - that is enough for you to find another doctor --- you are still early on just ending your first trimester and all of your records can be forwarded to a new doctor.

If anything happens on the weekend, your doctor should have an answering service. They do not give out home phone #s for doctors for security reasons - but the answering service will either contact your doctor or the one that is on call in that practice and have them return your call at home - you simply call the normal doctors office number, they will ask you some questions and a number you can be reached at - at that point you should receive a call from the doctor to answer your questions or advise you if you need to be seen right away.
