Does all this avoiding have a meaning?

Me and my co-worker have shared a long gaze often,about 3 to 4 times,but this last one was intense,since then he started coming near my department often ,first I initated the greetings but then I started avoiding him,he stoped coming,the other day I was siting in the lunch room he came the moment he entered he averted his eyes and too avoided me,After 8 long days,on valentines day I saw him coming twice near my cubicle I didnt see him,I ignored him,but I could sense that he was looking at me.today I was standing in the lobby of our office i saw him coming from far away but he turned back and made the long cut and went to the other side,which made it evident that he was avoiding me.
This is the same guy who always looked at me,locked eyes with me,always looked at me with a smile,greeted me enthuisisacally,did me favours,is he avoiding me b/c I avoided him
or does he also feel that something is developing between us as I feel the vibes

It seems that you are both giving each other mixed signals. You are playing a game with each other, which is fine as long as you are both playing the same game to the same rules.

He may really like you, but you have dented his male pride by not giving in to him and avioding him that once occasion, hes treating you mean to keep you keen, playing hard to get.

One of you needs to break the cycle and i can gaurentee it will not be the male who will make the first move.

Speak to him- try polite conversation and see if you still feel the vibes.

You never know, he may have baggage in his past, may be married but has feeling for you, there is a million possibilities here and until you establish some sort of communication (other then long glances!) you will never know where you stand.

I was in a situation so similar to yours! I knew someone who would(And still does) stand in front of my department exactly at the time he knew i would have a break, he would have his friends look out for me and we were on talking terms before i avoided him(it just happened,i seem to always have fumbled when he was close by)Anyway,its been 3 yrs now and he still does the same thing,and sometimes he walks off like i don't exist at all..while other days..he would follow me everywhere.

I wracked my brains over this issue the first year,cause i liked him too,but soon realised that,when a guy knows you like him,he wants to see you always give him the extra attention..After all,its flattering to know someone has a special eye for you.Eye contact is the simplest,most affective way to get someone's attention and is said to be the 'speechless conversation' Don't waste your time and energy on wondering whether or not he likes you.His occasional looking out for you and walking by your cubicle is just to see why you haven't been doing what you used to before,its his curiosity.Don't take it as his interest in you.If he was interested,he would have gathered the courage to come up to you and talk to you or at least smile back,not ignore you over and over.Guys don't like playing games,they're straight forward,we're the complicated beings.
If you still like the guy and want things to go further,go ahead and talk to him,say a hello,smile at him and keep the eye contact for no more than 6 seconds(its said to work wonders)You can cross check for yourself whether or not he's interested or he's just passing his time.There are a lotta other men out there who're far less confusing than this one!Don't stress yourself out with wonder!If you want him,go get him..or its best to forget it,sometimes they're baseless.
