Do you share this pet peeve of mine...?

I cannot pick up and use a cord phone that's tangled, if I even walk by one I have to untangle it. Remember how they'd get tangled to the point of being a birds nest? I saw people with cords 15 ft long but had to stand next to the phone cradle. Remember those lame-a** spinner things you could put on the reciever to prevent that happening? Did those actually work?

Just venting cause my job stole the cordless phone out of my office and left me with a cord one that's like 1 1/2ft long. At least they left me with my red Swingline stapler.

Yes those little spinner things do work. We use them at my job.

God forbid they take your stapler......then you'd have to burn the whole place down!

I used to hate that!!! haven't had one of those kind in years!!

Yeah I undo the cord everytime I see it tangled too.

I don't even know how it gets so bad.

I absolutely HATE it when the phone cord twists up!!!

Yeah, it's very annoying!

ha its true i do the same thing

wow it sounds like u really hate them

nice question i feel the same way as u

We all have pet peeves..however your is not mine.

lol office space =]

Oh boy!! Do I ever - -
Now I have it happening with my garden hose

Lol.. that drives me insane!!!! I never tried the spinner thing. Lucky for you though...wow...a Swingline stapler...sigh...

Now you see why they invented the cordless phone, nobody could make a cord that didn't tangle.

Stretch your phone cord out as far as you can, then use your red Swingline stapler to staple the cord to your desk top, then it won't curl up anymore, just lay your head down to answer the phone.

If they take your stapler then you know you're doomed. But yes, I too share the same pet peeve and my phone was about 30 years old with kinks in the cord that I couldn't get out and they would make me crazy. On the other hand, it gave me something to do while I was on the phone listening to people drone on and on. Good luck. :)

ive got a cordless phone

Well I have to say, that does not bother me. What does bother me is if someone comes in my office and pulls up a chair and leaves and doesn't put it back. I feel like going and finding that person and grabbing them by the arm and making them put it where they found it.

I don't think I've ever even had a cord phone. All mine have been cordless. Maybe when I was younger, but I can't remember.

But, I cannot stand it when my headphones get like that. I don't know how but the damn things always get so tangled that its like someone actually took the time to put knots in'em. I always have to untangle them before I use them, that drives me nuts

Man, your hatred for the cord is intense! :-) Actually, that used to bother me too, alot... although, not to the point I would untangle the cord when I was walking past it. I have no idea what spinner thing you're taking about,

But I will say this.. if they touch your swingline.. burn that ***** down.. don't let them try to give you a sorry, good for nothing bostitch staplers either..

Mate, track down the perpeTRAITOR who stole it & coat them in honey & tie them down on an ants nest.
Then cover their face in peanut butter & release a couple of dozen little dogs.

Oh yeah, then steal it back & their phone too as a payback!!!!!

I do hun. lol. I hate untidy things. xx

I remember that agony and utter annoyance, but I haven't seen a cord phone in ages.
I never even tried to untangle them completely.
What was good about them though was that you could play and fiddle with the cord for ever when some b@stard on the other side put you on hold and made you listen to some horrible background music.
The length of the wait was always proportional to the importance of the information you wanted and your impatience to get it. One of my pet peeves !.

i use to love wraping it around my fingers.

I agree, that's a pet peeve. Congrats, you held on to a good stapler. Hide it the next time your employer comes in鈾?/div>

oh my god jb! I totally agree with you babe! I hate phones with cords, and when tangled I lose my freakin mind!!! lol

yep, I hate those phones with cords J.b. Sometimes when I use them I forget that they are not cordless and walk away dragging the phone by the cord on to the floor!

man, those things could kill someone if not careful!! lol

yes, I hate dem phones soulja!

I admire your stance, J.B.H, and that of the other answerers on this issue! Don't you just hate the way those little spirals intertwine, never to be separated again? I've got one girlfriend who is a total professional at cord tangling 101. What does she do, walk around in circles while she's talking? Lol. Perhaps the world could be restored to it's natural order, after all, if we all get together and lick this thing!

By the way, I'm glad they didn't take your special stapler. If you ever notice that it's gone missing, watch out because the next step is the old desk in the basement routine. Just thought I'd warn you, ha, ha, ha!

That is a pet peeve of mine as well. But I haven't used a corded phone in ages...thank goodness for cordless phones.
