Is it not true that PORNOGRAPHY is largely responsible for innocent women and girls being looked upon as sex objects at their work places, on the streets, in the transports that they use to commute between the office and their homes. I do not say that it is the only reason for molestations and sexual harrassments but to the extent to what role the PORNOGRAPHIC videos, magazines and pictures are playing they are raising the libido of interested men beyond abnormal levels and consequentially leading to incidents bottom-slapping, bottom pinching, because at such high libido levels such persons look for immediate satisfaction and that surpasses their sense of what they are doing and with whom.

YOU PEOPLE SHOULD LEARN ONE THING, A PERSON BEHAVES ABNORMAL AS TOP LINES AS YOU SAID, CHANGE HIS BEHAVIOUR BY YOUR SELF'S BY ASKING HIM HOW IS HIS MOTHER. SO THAT HE CAN REMEMBER THAT HE IS A SON OF A MOTHER.

You are right. Movies, magazines, computer sites are responsible for what is happening. all these shoould be censored.

You have said it all

I suspect that consumption of pornography is a symptom of wanting to feel superior to the people in the pictures. I'm sure it arouses the sexual interest of the people who buy it, but then they can simply masturbate to rid themselves of the tension.

In other words, men buy pornography because they're horny, not the other way around. Although, I'm sure it's probably more complicated than that.

I am not a fan of porn, however, I feel the reason for the indecent behavior you are describing is not the fault of pornography, but the fault of people who are in able to control them selves. Maybe they were not raised with the basic knowledge of common human respect, or maybe they just don't care if they hurt and offend others. I hesitate to an outside influence like pornography on the bad behavior of a few people.

Pornography is simply another medium for people to portray their desires that are usually considered taboo. Before we had all of these graphic images, consider the alternative of people actually ACTING on these fantasies and the rampant outbreaks of sexually transmitted diseases at the turn of the last century and throughout it.

I don't think graphic images are to blame as much as people using excuses such as viewing pornography to explain their lack of control over themselves.
If people just used their noggin instead of their whatnot's sexual harassment would dwindle I would think. But that's just my opinion.

I'd say the majority of men (and some women) look at porn, yet they don't all harrass women or treat them like sex objects. I think that porn is possibly too readily available today, which may lead to minors viewing unsuitable material, but apart from that I don't see a problem with it. The women involved in making porn agree to do it - I don't understand it but that's how they want to make money. Any reasonable man can see that not all women are sex objects just because a few choose to be. Videos, magazines and pictures are not to blame for the flaws in people's character.

No porn is not the problem, sick people are the problem. My hubby watches porn alot and he has never been the type of person to go slapping womens bottoms or stare at them.

Why blame pornography on the sick human mind. Do a little research. What about women who were raped and looked upon as sex objects before porn? This has been going on for centuries folks. I don't understand why something or someone has to be blamed for the actions of others. I am not defending porn, porn is a personal choice. But saying that porn is responsible for society looking at women as sex objects is like saying the US is responsible financially for all the immigrants. Everyone needs to start taking responsibility for their own actions and stop pointing fingers.

Would you believe, I agree with you to some extent on this... I think porn should be kept under wraps a lot more than it is. I daresay it affects people in different ways too... for some, it raises their urges beyond control (and they either become habitual w**kers or possibly gropers, etc.) while others it is just a play thing for their private time.

Nonetheless, 'Trista M' gets my support as the vast majority of porn users are not sent into a deranged groping frenzy, which is practically what you're suggesting... The vast, vast majority of men and women are perfectly capable of self control.

Additionally, this seems to be an issue only in certain countries... so perhaps, there is a different underlying reason outside of porn?

I don't think the raising of libido is the problem. I believe it's the way women are portrayed in most pornographic material that can cause problems.

well I think and believe if we are to ban or censor pornographic videos, magazines and pictures etc we should also ban or censor magazines portraying skinny girls or women as models as they are the reason why there are so many women and young girls starve themselves stupid and wind up so skinny and quite horrible looking and also get anorexia and often die because of it,the thing with porn though compared to the one I mentioned do you or have you ever heard of anyone dying from porn, now how many have you heard die from anorexia.

Even before there was pornography there were men who objectified women amd even after porn leaves, men are still going to continue to view women as sex objects. It's not porn to blame, it's misogynistic men.

Pornography "encourages".
Even if people were doing those violent sexual acts on people before porn, porn always encourages a person to go up to the next level, bored with soft porn? go for hard core.
What something new go for bestiality? what something kinky how about elderly porn? *shivers*

Porn encourages a person to practice acts in real life that they never imagine. Porn feeds the problem.

Pornorgraphy as the purveyor of all things evil when it comes to objectifying women. A very interesting thought

Pornography can at times elevate libidos and excite people, which sometimes helps them become less inhibited. It is like all things, use it as a means of an educational tool for other sexual desires options or use it as a debasing tool to disrespect and force your desires and will onto others.

Like the provebial knife.

- This knife can take away an animal's life, but the meat feeds me, nourishes me and the hide warms me, which then both will sustain my quality of life.

- This same knife cn take away the animal's life and I choose not to utilize any of its parts and lay it to waste.

Why the expression, double edged sword.

The actions of others should be answerable only as that person's actions and not because of environmental influcences. The disposition of behavior and choices are sometimes "pre-programmed, hardwired" in some people where they cannot inhibit themselves, while others choose to simply behave in the same like manner just because they can as a conscious effort not to inhibit oneself.

Otherwise, the rest of us, when we face right from wrong, we practice a combination of common sense with our moral code values to make the right decision irregardless of the external influences that challenge us.

Example? Think of all those present powerful people who have had a bad, sad history of starting out in life. They CHOSE not to allow it to mire them but instead allowed it to be their strength. They figured, if I can overcome this adversity, then what is stopping me from facing other challenges?

I don't think Pornography is a larger contributing factor to the behaviors of debasing women. I think it is people who think in the manner they do that allows their brain to relay to their moral code, "it is ok, go ahead and behave that way to another" that is the primary contributing factor.
