Shared office bathroom...?

Almost everyone in our office respects the air freshener in the shared office bathroom. Unfortunately, there is one person in particular that does not and I think he really doesn't care. Casual hinting and boldly joking have not worked. Any suggestions?

He is a guy, just tell him. Men aren't that sensitive.

Sadly, no. You could put up a sign that asks everyone to use it every time, but that person will not.

just tell him

There's nothing you can do about his ignorance towards others.

Leave some sort of sign in the bathroom about respect and make sure it is know that it is a community bathroom. Also try to put a glade plug in, in there so it always has a good fragrence.

You can always tell him man butt is not pleasant and we don't want to smell it. Since we're talking about it why is that men and women can eat the same thing but it smells 1,000 times worse coming out of the man? MAN BUTT IS BAD.

OMG it's a bathroom, it's made to deficate in. If your so interersted in the air freshener then you spray it when you go in, otherwise..... get a life.

Perhaps all could pitch in, and buy one of those automatic sprtizing air freshners, then he'd not have to strain to remember...

Call him on it. The next time he goes into the rest room and does not spray, I would go over to his desk, embarass the heck out of him and tell him that no one likes smelling his stink and that he needs to spray. I would do this in a very loud voice so that everyone in the office could hear. It will either embarass him into spraying or he will turn into a real pig and not flush! Every office has one and he's it.

A person above me recommended embarrassing him, but as you said hinting and joking doesn't seem to phase him so you could speak to him semi-privately (break room?) and recommend that he only use the bathroom at his residence since he clearly does not process the social skills to take advantage of the privilege of an office bathroom.

Nope that is a touchy subject that could get you fired depending on how you approach it.

Put a sign in the bathroom "Yes, your $h*t does stink. Use the air freshener!".

leave him a floater
