Everytime i connect my laptop to the office network, C & D drives are shared with a $ sign. how to stop this? |
is there any way to stop this with a patch or by editing the registry? You would need access to your log on script which executes when you connect your laptop patches or editing the registry will not help.. turn off file sharing The $ sign means that the computer has the admin share enabled. Depending on your account privileges, you may not have the ability to disable this. If messing with this setting is against your company's computer policy, and this is a company laptop, I would also think again before attempting this. |
