Can one Microsoft Office Service Pack be shared in the family, or does each member have to get their own?

Can one Microsoft Office Service Pack be shared in the family, or does each member have to get their own?

Depends whose computer it is..

If the computer belongs to the whole family, then it can be used by all.

Service Packs are free and can be shared even with people outside your family.

Note that a Service Pack is not the package containing Office that you buy at the store . It's the accumulation of bug fixes over a period of a year or so, downloadable from Microsoft.

Service Packs, whether Windows or Office, are free and can be put on any computer that has XP or Office. The Service Packs won't install on any machine that has an illegal copy of either Windows or Office.
