What do you do if you have a particular colleague you share the office with who hardly talks,?

Always pretending to be busy and bores you crazy?

people don't keep you company , you keep YOURSELF COMPANY....

Get to your work and forget about colleague. You are not there to socialize. Let him work and try to do the same.

Your co-workers are not there to entertain you. That's what friends are for (among other things). Maybe the problem is you have different professional attitudes. Your boring co-worker seems to be pretty diligent. Maybe you can learn something...

I share the office with a colleague who doesn't stop talking, that is a bigger problem.

Some people are slower to open up than others. Try to chat for a few minutes and leave it at that.

Try one of 3 things.
1) Enjoy it, It could be worse, He/She could never stop talking and you would never get YOUR work done
2) Try talking to him/her about it.
3) Ask for another person to share your office or ask for a re-assignment.

Then again, maybe your employer is performing some kind of social experiment. LOL Good Luck
