Do you have to share an office with someone and do you hate it?

I currently do not share, but I have had to in the past. There is a desk and computer still sitting in my office waiting for someone to move in!

I work for a very professional company, so with that being said, most of the people are nice and get along well. In that sense, I do not mind sharing an office.

What I don't like about sharing an office is lack of privacy. For me, I go long periods without having to share, so I get used to having my own space and being able to make an occassional personal phone call or eat lunch with my door closed in privacy. When I get someone else in my office, it adds a different level of "pressure" at work, such as having to make occassional small talk when you don't feel like talking, or taking a personal call in the conference room. Also, for me, the people I have shared with work on different projects than I do, so it can be distracting when trying to get work done having other conversations going on in the office regarding work that does not apply to me.

Overall, I will always prefer my own space!

Yes, and I do not hate it. I had once a co worker who shares an office with me. We did not hit it right away, and after a while we become friends, I find it beneficial, because she covers for me when I am not around and vice versa.

Depends on who I'm sharing the office with.
