Have you ever run for public office on any level?

If so, please share which office and why you ran. What did you hope to accomplish?

I ran for my party's nomination for the House of Representatives in 1988. I was hoping to restore the social contract which once existed between citizen and representative. Ten years later I ran for my party's nomination for a seat in our State's Assembly. I lost both contests.

I ran for ASB rep and treasure in high school in high school

No. The closest I came was being an election judge a few years ago.

No, but I did help on campaigns in my time. I was hoping to get better reprsentation for city, country.

If I ever did try, I'd be put in the deepest part of the CIA jail.

No, but I was asked to run on several occasions
for a city council seat, once by the mayor.

no but my dad did.. he was going for mayor in McCall TX.. i helped him pass out business cards and sat at malls asking people to vote for him.. why he felt he could do a better job then the jerk that was in office.. and he want his view to be heard like about health care for seniors. my dad was 80 when he ran for office.. did he win no but he was heard

No. Have given it some thought. But with a different accent in Australia, don't know how that would go down. Probably like a lead balloon.
