How do I lock my computer so anyone using it will need a password?

I am office sharing and don't want the other person to be able to access my stuff.

You need to set up user accounts. One user is you, one is anybody else. Each account has a password.

Each time you leave, log off. It will take your password to get into your user account. For that reason, put anything personal in your user account. For convenience's sake, make the other user account password-free, or share its password with your boss or colleagues.

Be advised that if the computer belongs to the company, this is probably not going to be allowed and may not be possible. They need full access to their own equipment.

In your control panel go to "display" then go to the screensaver tab, pick a screensaver and set it for something like 1 or 2 mins right there is an option to password protect the screensaver. You could do that or just log off when you leave your desk.
