Additional "domain" field after user and password fields?

I was presented with a "domain" field when I tried to log on to a MS Office Share Point Portal Server 2003 site. Previously there were only the user and password fields. I tried keying in my password into the "domain" field but cud not log in. PC is Compaq PIII Win98SE, 224 MB Ram. I have Free AVG AV 7.1, Zone Alarm Pro 6.1 and IE-SpyAd installed. Anyone can help pls?

You need to find out what the correct domain is. Contact whoever gave you your name and password and they can tell you.
