Would you have a relationship with your boss/manager? |
let say you work together in the same office share jokes, ideas and even enjoy the same sports , food , movies and events and you got involve how would you handle this situation? Ewwwww.... yuck Yeah, I guess you're right. Thanks for best answer and good luck to you. Report It Hell no. He has a hairy back.yuk!! I would advise not to because what happens if you two get together and then it doesn't work out. You would be left probably without a job and then you could sue him for sexual harrassment. To much can happen. It's so hard to answer because you seem like you'd be a great match right? But then what if something bad happens and you can' work together. I guess ask yourself how important your job is. If you would rather have him then go for it and if something happens find a new job! I wouldn't. If something goes south with the relationship, there goes your job. NO, don't mix business with pleasure! I did & it didn't work out...It was fine by me, but to him, he couldn't handle emotions and work at the same time. At one stage he treated me like an enemy (as psychological defense). I'm still hanging in there. My mother always said "Dont dip your pen in the company inkwell". There are just too many problems dating your boss. Other emloyees will always talk about how you are getting special consideration, they wont want to discuss things around you because you might tell the boss and the worst thing is if you break up you not only lose your lover but you also may lose your job. If you really like him, find another job and then date him. this is not a good idea for several reasons. In the first place it can upset the balance in the office. If there is a boss dating or getting close to one of the people under him/her it can lead to favoritism, either actual or perceived which can lead to a whole host of problems. If not that there can become a day when the relationship breaks up and the boos will retain his job and the worker will probably lose hers. There is also the possibility the relationship will get out of hand and both will lose their jobs. For the most part the workplace is not the place to have relationships, so don't get chummy with the boss, keep the distinction. Ever heard the saying "don't $h!t where you eat" ? That's the general idea with work relationships... especially when the other person is in a managerial position. It's great to have a good relationship with one's coworkers and superiors, but romance in the office is a serious No-No. If you care about your job/career, I'd say stay clear Eww. No. Why not just open Pandora's Box and have yourself a real party. Seriously, that's just begging for trouble neither of you need. Geez, if you really, really, really want to start something, one or both of you are going to have to change jobs. A lot of stuff can go wrong and u can lose your job over having a relationship with your boss/manager. I would strongly advice you not to get involve unless you have a 2nd job on the side that can keep you on your feet. bad idea.....bad idea Sharing "jokes, ideas and even enjoy the same sports , food , movies and events" is not the same as sharing a "bed or bodily fluids." guess no one told you the big work rule! How would you handle a bad break-up with your boss. how would you handle every time you receive a raise, promotion, juicy project, anything that anyone else wants it's only because you're sleeping with the boss, not because you're actually any good? It's not a good idea at all, my sister actually dated her boss at her last job and they both wound up getting fired. It's bad enough just dating someone you work with, but your boss? NO. There was a group of us from the fast food place we worked at in HS.... somehow I ended up dating a boss... He transferred to another store, and I actually found a better job. 24 years later, we are about to have our 22nd anniversary. |
