My coworker is getting fired tomorrow and she has no idea.?

She is a lousy worker and deserves to be let go by management. She doesn't have any clue that it is going to happen and she won't know that I already knew about it beforehand. She and I share an office room with another coworker who knows as well. How do I react to her after she gets fired? I've been waiting for this day for a long time, but I feel like its going to be HUGELY awkward when she comes back into the room after her firing. I don't know how I should handle the situation! Please help!

Two things to clear up.
Fisrt, it is not uncommon for managers to tell co-workers in advance that someone is being let go. And, the trend is now to do it Monday.

Until they tell her, you don't know a thing. Afterward, be sympathetic, offer encouragement, be kind.

I always fired someone as soon as the decision was made. To delay, just made it harder for everybody. I then told all the other workers why it was done.

It's illegal to tell the coworkers that someone is being fired. It is illegal to also give a bad referrence about a past employee. If you say they were fired you could be sued. It is illegal to do so. Report It

laugh your azz off and point.

Give her a box full of bubble wrap to pack her stuff.

I think it was really unprofessional for managment to inform you and your office mate of this termination in advance. Also, don't hold your breath that it will happen tommorrow. Usually businesses fire people on a Thursday or Friday so everyone has the weekend to cool down a bit.

If you know when the firing is going to take place, then maybe you should leave the room when she comes back. Maybe she'll want to be alone after hearing the news.

Act sympathtic, Tell her sorry she got fired, be nice to her. Don't laugh at her

be civil and sensitive to her situation, don't lecture, be honest, do not placate her as that could be insulting.
don't appear to eager or pleased, and second i would question the system that let you know beforehand....that is administration being very careless.
you seem excited by this, if you are, cool, but let that excitement wind down before you do the victory dance in front of her.

well if u are truthfull tell her that u really think that this job was not the best for her and tell her good luck onher oppertunity somewhere else if you really hat her just dont say anything at all and act like you have not a clue make her approch u.

hi,
there is no way to handle a situation like that. try to be understanding but not sarcastic about it. by all means do not let her know that you know about it or that will mike it harder for her and you and it may even cause you a problem.
