Would this be rude?? |
I'm so hungry! My boss just asked me if I was hungry (he's starving too) and just ordered food for delivery. I want to eat now, but I feel rude because I know he's starving. (I brought in my own lunch.... and it smells sooo delish!) Do I have to wait for him to get his food? I feel like I do. We share an office. It depends on tha amount of time it takes for him to get his food. Dont pass out!!!! Yes it would be rude to eat in front of him. Yes, I would wait the couple of minutes for the take out order to arrive. You can hold out! If you're going to be having a lunch meeting together, then I would wait. Otherwise, your lunch break is yours to take when you wish. If you're hungry now, eat now. For the sake of courtesy, you could ask "Do you mind if I eat now?" but I doubt he'll object. Your boss is a big boy, he can take care of himself. And his lunch IS on its way, so he knows he'll be fed soon enough......... Yes, if you're going to eat in the room with him, you should wait. If you're going to take your lunch elsewhere, go ahead. Just ask if he cares. Or share some of yours and then share some of his. I would wait take your lunch home and eat it later or on your break its only once and a blue they buy lunch,if they bought lunch. |
