I need some job advice please?

Here's my ordeal.

I work for some CPA's and I make 11.00 and hour. Pretty good money. Problem is I am not very good at taxes and bookkeeping. I actually hate it. The people I work with, the one i share an office with particularly, is an a--hole. He doesnt do half his work and tells our boss I was the one responsable for it and I wont even have a clue what hes talking about. Ans our boss believes him..Why??? Becuase she is his aunt. Great huh? I work 50-60 hours a week and barely get to see my 16 mo old daughter.

Right now I have the opportunity to rent a booth in a salon for 55.00 a week. All the money I make is mine and I buy my own supplies. Walk in's are high and the ladies there are nice. I love doing hair, I think its my calling and I am quite good at it. Although the moeny wouldnt be so great at first I think I would be happier and my daughter would have her mom more often.
And my husband has a job, so we will still have one form of steady icome.

I think you should go for it. It's most important to do something that makes you happy. Plus your daughter is going to grow up so fast and being there for the important moments means so much more in the long run than a couple extra bucks in your pocket in the short term. If it comes down to it though and you're not making enough to get by you can always go back to something similar to what you're doing now. Then you can try to find a position with people you enjoy working with.

I think you should do what you love. You'll be a much happier person, and that will make life better for your family. Plus, later you'll probably regret not being able to spend as much time as you would've liked with daughter if you stay at your current job.

How many appointments do you think you could get if you rented a booth? How much profit do you think you could make? Is that enough for your family to live on?

Just questions for you to think about before you choose, but I'd lean towards job #2.

There is an expression that I think is rirgt on and that is -you teach people how to treat you,I am referring to your present job and how u feel u are being treated.It sounds like u are unhappy at work,so why not take a leave of abscence or leave on good terms and try out the salon,if it should fail then u return to CPA.Or try a salon job in the evenings,part-time and see if it is in fact your calling.There is nothing like enjoying going to your work ! Money is not always most important either-having time for family and friends is important too.hope it all works out for u.
