Having more work problems..help? |
I am forced to share an office with my supervisor here at the printing press where I work. This guy is the grumpiest jerk on the face of the earth. Every day he comes in and is miserable. He takes his frustrations out on me by not giving me enough work and making me feel stupid. He is constantly on the phone talking to his girlfriend and then yells at me for making one personal phone call. I am tired of the way he treats me, it is very demeaning. He is 27 years old and I am 26. When he is not talking to me in a nasty tone, he is usually ignoring me. When I ask him for help, he tells me that "I can't do anything right". I have talked to my boss about the way he is and the boss says that he has talked to him about it...but nothing has CHANGED! What should I do? Get him promoted, it's way easier than getting him fired and at least he'll be out of your way. Maybe he'll even have you promoted to his old job. dude has issue he's ignorant. Look for another job. Talk with someone in your Human Resources Dept. Or talk with your bosses boss. Start looking for a new job immediately. Eventually, this kind of stress will start to affect your health! This is easy. First you tried a couple of things to change his behavior. That didn't work. Now its your decision. Do you like your job / your pay / your location / your title enough to fight for this job. If it is, start fighting, if not get out of there. I had a similiar situation, I was mad that it was me that had to do all the changing. One day I just quit. I couldn't take it anymore. It was tough at first but I never looked back. That job wasn't all that good anyway, I was just being lazy to not go after something different. Good Luck |
