Who can I call about this? |
I work in an office suite that has one mens bathroom and one womens bathroom and maybe 20 different offices that share the same bathrooms. The guy who owns this building rarely cleans the bathrooms and when he does, it comes nowhere close to being cleaned properly. I think it's a health hazard. Is there anyone I can call about this or any website that I can report this guy to. I don't want to cause trouble, but i'm tired of having to clean the toilet seat every day, it's just not my job. call 311 and make a complaint, a inspector will investigate it and issue a summons, then iam sure they will clean the bathroom.. You can quit the job, or you can clean it yourself.. Perhaps you could talk to the other people who have offices in the building and see if you all can come to an agreement about each office cleaning the bathrooms on a rotating basis or each could chip in to hire someone to clean the bathrooms. OSHA can be notified. I would start with something like a local health department if it is that disgusting, or maybe even OSHA (occupational health and safety) You can talk to human resources so they can talk to the owners of the building. Have as many signatures as possible, like a petition against the dirty toilet. Give a copy to your boss. Have a meeting or bring it up at next safety meeting. You walk right up to him and tell him you are sick and tired of sitting on a nasty toilet seat and cleaning is part of his job and if he can't do his job properly than he needs to go live back home with his mother until he can learn to do so. Gross. First, I would try explaining this to your boss....he/she should be able to handle the problem. If he/she does not..go to the guy who owns the building. You shouldn't have a problem getting others in your building to do the same... There is probably a building code that states how many bathrooms there have to be per occupant. Your building sounds to be below the standard. So you can get a building inspector in to check that out. You can "Fire him and call OJs Janitoral Service". They will clean anything! OSHA. you can contact OSHA..also I would get ahold of the building inspector an let them know aht is going on..if it is indeed nasty which it sounds to be then I wouldnt wast anyt ime because yes it is a health hazard |
