My friend have five computers in his office.how he share the broadband connection to all computers?

now he buyed netgear adsl2+ethernet modem and 8 ports swithch

he needs to get his broadband connection to a router(with adsl modem). if the router has more thn 4 ports he doesnt need any hub/switch. or he has to connect the switch/hubs(using patch/straight through cable) to the router and connect other pcs to the switch/router. and if the router is wireless and computers have wireless network card he doesnt need anyother hub or swithch, can connect wirelessly. thnks and good luck

if you are using broadband connection through router, you can connect computer as you can, depends on the availability from your router and hub slots...if he is good in networking he can use many hubs as he like and connect computers on it with one router using for broadband connection....

A server is required to installed

Best way is to run the workstations to the switch, and run the switch to the router.

You can do Internet Connection Sharing, which essentially tells the other workstations to use the one that has the physical connection to the broadband modem as their "gateway" but it's less efficient that way.

he may use a lan cable to connect each pc to the lan card through a router hub also known as a lan hub box

tell him to uze a hub.and connect tha router to tha hub

configure NAT on adsl router and give router address as gateway for each computer.

u need a proxy servre .

By using a proxy software he can share the connection to all the systems with the help of connecting devices (hubs or switches).

by using lan
