What's wrong with this folder from work?

so at work we have a folder that is shared by all the offices of my company in the state by a network, in this folder we enter MSword documents and it can be used from any office, the problem is that if i don't use it for an hour or so I can't get in, there's an error message saying that the file can not be found if i want to retry or cancel, then i have to log off windows and log back in so i'm able to use it again, it's kind of annoying, the IT guys have not been able to crack it, I'm really curious .why this happens

Your login session has expired. Any file, print, named pipe, or mail slot session that does not have any activity is automatically disconnected after the AutoDisconnect time has expired;

You can configure the AutoDisconnect time by running the following command from a command prompt:

net config server /autodisconnect:time_before_autodisconne...

Specify the time in minutes. For more info:

Your network guys are stupid. When you log into windows, you have login scripts that will automatically set network shares, ie..drives, folders, anything that is on the network that you are allowed access to. Usually these login scripts are kept in the Active Directory of your Windows Server, which the IT guys are responsible for. So when your shared folder is no longer working, you have to log off and then back on again, you are reestablishing that connection. I would suspect that the network card on the server could be bad, or the network card on your computer has problems. Is anyone else having this same problem? If not, then its your computer, an easy way to find out is to replace the network card on your computer, and see if that solves it. If not, have the IT guys reinstall the O/S on your computer. If you still have no joy, then have the IT guys give you a different log in name and password, and try that. If this is happening to everyone, then they have server or router issues, and that is way more than I can go into on here. Hope this helps.
