Difference of ambition in the past and your work...?

How many of you actually get the job same as your ambition at past? Would it be a big differences?

My mother recently showed me a picture I made when I was 5. It was a kindergarten assignment, asking us what we want to be when we grow up.

I drew a picture of a soldier and a cop and wrote "army man or police man".

I spent 12 years in the Air Force as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technician (Bomb Squad). I got bored from the lack of excitement and adrenaline, so now I'm a police officer in a major city in California and loving every second of it.

I guess I knew what I wanted when I was 5. I got it and am happy I did.

past - i want to be a doctor... my mom dreams that one of us will be a doctor...

present - i'm an accountant/auditor...

i remember when i was still in grade school i really dream of being a doctor (aside from the fact that this was a dream of my mom)... highschool came and i hated science... asking why?... try to memorize the periodic table with all of its chemical and physical properties...

difference - a lot... now what i do is analyze the profitability of the company... and reports to the management...
